Two people who went missing after attending prayers at a shrine in the Menengai Crater are yet to be found.

According to police, the whereabouts of the two individuals who travelled from Kitale in Trans-Nzoia for prayers remain a mystery.

Bahati sub-county Police Commander Jacinta Wangechi said efforts by a team of volunteers to search for the duo had not borne fruit.

Wangechi said the police had not received feedback from their counterparts in Kitale, who were trying to find their families.

“Immediately the two were reported missing, we alerted police officers in Kitale to help us establish their whereabouts and trace their families," said Wangechi.
