Carmen, 25, quietly tied the knot with her husband, Daniel McCormack, in October 2024 on the picturesque Lover's Leap Bridge in New Milford, Connecticut. The two had met on dating app Hinge back in 2020, and their relationship blossomed into a marriage that has captured the world's attention. The Andrade sisters, born in Mexico and now living in the US, share several organs, including ribs, a pelvis, parts of their circulatory, digestive, and reproductive systems. Yet they maintain their individuality, each with her own heart, lungs, and stomach. That individuality, they explained, also extends to how they navigate Carmen's marriage. Speaking to People, Carmen candidly addressed one of the most asked and often intrusive questions about her relationship: intimacy. "It all comes down to constantly talking," she explained. "I have headphones and a phone. I don't care," Lupita said with a shrug, making it clear she gives the couple space in her own way. Carmen admitted there are moments when she and Daniel feel a little guilty, but humour often helps them find balance. "I think there's a certain societal expectation that there needs to be affection all the time within a relationship. But honestly, we just joke around a lot of the time." Daniel, 28, said he has often been met with endless questions about their sex life, many of which he finds intrusive. "People are obsessed with sex, you know? Frankly, it's none of your business," he said firmly. Carmen echoed that sentiment, calling out stereotypes. "I don't understand why people need to know about my private parts in order to humanise us." When asked about her relationship with her brother-in-law, Lupita was clear, "I love him as a brother. That's about it." As for children, the couple say it's not in their plans. Daniel joked, "No kids, never plan on it. I kind of like the aunt and uncle idea. It's like rent-a-kid, you get to give them back at the end of the day." Born in Mexico in 1999, Carmen and Lupita defied medical odds by living far beyond what doctors had predicted at their birth. Today, they are not only thriving but also challenging societal perceptions by living their lives on their own terms, full of honesty, laughter, and above all, respect.
