Vivo Energy signs deal with tour operators

Vivo Energy Kenya has signed an agreement with Kenya Association of Tour Operators (KATO) that will see the tour company use Shell fuel card to manage their fuel.

Through the agreement, the firm, which distributes and markets Shell-branded fuels and lubricants in Kenya, will offer the tour firms fuel and lubricants at discounted rates.

Speaking during the signing of the agreement Wednesday, Vivo energy Kenya CEO Polycarp Igathe said the Shell Fuel Card will help over 400 tour operators to boost their returns from tourists. “Tourism remains a key source of income for the country.

The card will provide convenience, efficiency and accountability to the tour operators in managing their fuel and lubricants consumption,” he said.

According to KATO Chairman, Peter Ngori, the partnership will open doors for future partnership as the tours association looks for improved solutions in the competitive market.

“Shell has always been recognised as a mark of quality and KATO is pleased to be entering into this arrangement that assures our members of quality products at a favourable cost,” he said.
