Former FKF Vice President Twaha Mbarak has been asked to embrace sportsmanship and move on after he lost in last week’s FKF’s national election.
Twaha claimed his bid for the vice-presidency was derailed through “betrayal of the highest” order by pointing a finger at his running mate, Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier.
But in a scathing four-pronged rebuttal from Hamisi Mwayoyo, Ali Hassan Tito, Athman Mohamed and Lordvick Aduda, Twaha has been told “what goes around, comes around.”
“Let Twaha go back to the drawing board and come up with new strategies on how to win the next election instead of pointing an accusing finger,” said the immediate former FKF South Coast Chairman Hamisi Mwayoyo.
Twaha claimed that Rachier asked his supporters to throw their weight behind Andrew Amkowa from Western for the vice-presidency to his detriment.
“We campaigned together with Twaha only for him to betray me at the eleventh hour by throwing weight behind my challenger Gabriel Mghendi who went ahead to win the FKF South Coast chairmanship,” said Mwayoyo.
Athman ‘Makanaky’ Mohamed, the FKF Mombasa vice chairman also urged Twaha to accept defeat and forge ahead.
“Twaha short-changed aspirants at their time of need and his time to be betrayed came at the national elections,” said Mohammed.
