Hope, perhaps, is the wrong word. Arsenal can, of course, ‘hope’ to win all three of the competitions they remain in, but the likelihood of that happening is, let’s be honest here, infinitesimal.
Enjoying a stellar season so far, Arsenal were able to go to Old Trafford on Sunday in the luxurious position of knowing that even if they lost they would remain at the top of the table but despite topping both the league and their Champions League group, no trophies are handed out in November. So what can Arsenal realistically hope to achieve this season?
