Not so much of good news has come out of South Africa since Lukas Radebe, Benny McCathy and Mark Fish retired from soccer. In fact, Bafanabafana regressed to levels of Shabana FC of Kenya, that is if the South Africa's national team still even exits. The Jacob Zuma presidency did not help the reputation of Johannesburg much having been marred by all forms of mediocre publicity surrounding his social conduct, policy exposure and lack of knowledge of what he was doing as the country's No.1 citizen.
Then there was wave of xenophobia where native South Africans clashed with other Africans living, working or doing business of whatever kind on their soil. Anyway, lately, it is clear that Jo'burg is on a mission to retrace and reclaim its place in the world map except that this time SA is starting to export strange products alien to the African spirit. Kenya recently received the King of Squats. Apparently, he is the new face of the country that once gave us sister Samenya who also on her part generated her share of controversy. How did that debate end? Was she really a she?
