Raila Odinga allies trash poll as Uhuru Kenyatta base steady

Nairobi, Kenya: A poll suggesting that majority of Kenyans don’t want Opposition leader Raila Odinga to vie for the presidency in next year’s elections has sparked uproar. The latest Ipsos survey suggests that collective 61 per cent not want Raila's name on the ballot for the presidential vote.

It showed that 35 per cent want Raila to retire from politics while 26 per cent still want him in active politics but not as a presidential candidate.
