Fred Matiang'i names new Konza authority CEO

Kenya: John Kipchumba Tanui is new Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) Chief Executive Officer.

Information Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i appointed Mr Tanui to replace Catherine Adeya-Weya, whose term elapsed last month after heading the State corporation for two years in an acting capacity.

Tanui was one of three nominees forwarded to Dr Matiang'i by the KoTDA board of directors. He was unveiled at a news conference attended by board chairman John Ngumi, yesterday.

The KoTDA is expected to implement the Konza Techno City, a project to foster the growth of technology in Kenya as part of Vision 2030.

The project is expected to enhance integration of ICT in service delivery.
