Safaricom partners with communities to actualise dreams

Simon Ciira’s small deed is to help the disabled in his community. He shared his dream to help students at Likii Special School, Nanyuki.

Do you have a burning idea but have no means of actualising it to change lives of many in a community?

Look no further, Safaricom has partnered with dreamers across the country to bring 500 community dreams to life.

“Being part of your journey has been an integral part of our brand purpose; transforming lives. We hope this new year is filled with new possibilities, brighter days and ambitious dreams for you, your family and the wider community,” said Safaricom.

“In the spirit of Nawe Kila Wakati and inspired by Kenyans who are everyday making a positive impact to those around them; we are partnering with you to bring 500 community dreams to life.”

To have their dreams actualised, interested partners were required to make written submissions to the Safaricom Website using the link http://Safaricom.co.ke/ndotozetu or visit Safaricom retail shops countrywide and fill in application forms.

Safaricom through its foundation arm has over the past years intensified social work to the benefit of communities with focus being on health, education and economic empowerment.

This is in line with the company’s mission to build communities and demonstrably transform lives through impactful investments and partnerships that are aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Annually, the Safaricom Foundation has been spending approximately Sh350 million on their projects across the country.

Under economic empowerment, Safaricom is focusing its efforts to empower the youth through entrepreneurship opportunities.

For education, the focus is on literacy and expertise as well as technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
