Rwanda's trade minister says she hopes all AU countries will join FTA within five years

Rwanda’s minister for trade and industry said on Tuesday she hopes all 55 African Union countries will have signed up to a continental free trade agreement within the next five years.

The agreement will come into force this year, said Soraya Hakuziyaremye, speaking on a panel at the World Government Summit in Dubai

She also said trade tensions between the United States an China are a concern for African countries.
