Kenya Revenue Authority bags awards at Kisumu ASK Show

The Kenya Revenue Authority has bagged two awards in the just concluded Agricultural Society of Kenya show in Kisumu.

 KRA was named the Best Financial Institution other than a bank and the Best Stand Embracing Information Technology and Communication system (ICT).

KRA's Kenya School of Revenue Administration (KESRA) was second runners up in the Best Tertiary Institution besides University category.

 Chief Manager Domestic Taxes Department operations in Western Region John Orioro said the taxman's participation in this year's show was a strategic initiative aimed at increasing brand awareness.

"It was also aimed at building trust and credibility among stakeholders. It also increases stakeholder satisfaction and strengthens partnerships with strategic partners and stakeholders," he said.

Prof Micheni Ntiba, the Principal Secretary for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries who was the Chief Guest during the official opening of the show applauded KRA for the innovations such as iTax which have made business processes easier.
