Kenya Airways, General Electric (GE) and Boeing have donated a CF6-80A2 aircraft engine to the Technical University of Kenya.

The donation will enable aerospace and aviation engineering students get hands-on training on the high-tech engine that powers Airbus A310 and Boeing 767.

The engine, manufactured by GE came along with among other things aviation maintenance training books, training aids, reading materials and used aircraft parts.
