OLX now woos car dealers with paid advert option

Online classifieds firm OLX is now targeting car dealers across Nairobi with the recently launched paid advert option OLX Top Ads.

It allows sellers who wish to have their adverts appear at the top of the website pay a small fee and get more visibility for their items.

Vehicles are among the most sought-after items, with over 50,000 cars being posted on OLX monthly and 60 per cent of them being sold on OLX, according to research done by the firm’s data hub.

The firm said this gives car dealers ready demand for vehicles posted on the site. Toyotas, Subarus, Mercedes benz, BMW and matatus are the most sought-after vehicles.
