Kenyans urged to embrace saving culture

BUNGOMA, KENYA: Kenyans have been urged to embrace the saving culture in Sacco's so they are able to reap profits from loans through initiating profitable projects.

Ng'arisha Sacco board Chairman Benedict Simiyu said that majority of Kenyans have not embraced the saving culture and called on them to start saving and investing in projects that will help them in future.
Speaking during education to Members workshop at Farm view hotel in Busia town on Monday, Simiyu noted that the workshop was meant to train the delegates so that they can also become ambassadors in helping recruit new members to ensure Ng'arisha Sacco expands.
"The culture of saving is then only sure way for us to succeed and am calling upon all residents of Bungoma to start saving with Ng'arisha so that they can enjoy the benefits of getting the loan with us," assured Simiyu.
Ng'arisha formerly Bungoma Teachers Sacco has been on the forefront challenging teachers and the general public to invest with them so that they are able to grow both economically and socially.
"It is only through joining Saccos that you can grow economically through nurturing the saving culture and investment habits which has seen many members kick out poverty a midst them.
