Flights threat as airlines warned over risk of volcanic eruption in Iceland

Airlines using European airspace have been warned of possible flight disruption as the threat of a volcanic eruption in Iceland increases.

The country's Met Office has raised its risk level to the aviation industry for an eruption at its Bardarbunga volcano to orange, which is the fourth level on a five-grade scale.
