United Nations Office Nairobi has a new boss

Sahle-Work Zewde of Ethiopia is the new Director-General of the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON).

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon picked on Ms. Zewde, who will be the first person to be appointed to the newly created position as head of the Organization’s Nairobi Office, at the Under-Secretary-General level.

According to a dispatch from United Nation’s press desk, Ms. Zewde brings to this position more than two decades of progressively responsible experience at the national, regional and international levels.
