Bailey and Murigu in Park showdown

By oscar pilipili

The MX 50 leader Murigu Njiiri will come under serious scrutiny tomorrow as the H20/Oilibya Kenya National Motocross Championship series enter the fifth round at Jamhuri Park.

Karting prodigy Ryan Bailey has thrown down the gauntlet insisting he has what it takes to push the series leader. Alistair Diniz, too, is queuing to inflict defeat on.

Other riders in this class are Benni Kahumbura and newcomer Nikita Sehmi, the only girl in the class.

Nikita, daughter to enduro expert and rally navigator, Tej Sehmi is spoilt for a fight after winning her class at last month’s Arusha motocross.

Bailey, son of former rally ace Paul Bailey, hopes to explode what with his dominance in the Cummins Karting Championship which he leads at 50cc class.

"It’s a good change of scenario from karting to motocross. I just can’t wait to attack," young Ryan said.

Clean riding

MX65 riders also go all out but fast and furious Apollo Mbuki should uphold his lead if his grace and clean riding lines will be anything to go by.

Behind Apollo will be Samir Anwar and Karan Sehmi.

MX85 leader Adil Khan is expected to return reloaded to the challenging course a month since securing his first career win in the fourth meeting last month.

Khan appears to have come to grips with his now super-duper and ex-Cruze Muigai KTM85 bike he borrowed and ended up with his first ever win.

Khan will face off with round three winner Eugene Maina who has been his toughest opponent since Ivan Guya and Davide Bernardi were injured in the second round.
