It’s reckless to fall sick at the wrong time in Kenya
Kenyans need only to fall sick in convenient times, or fire to only break out at their homes during times when no traffic jam is expected. Anything else, and you risk dying in a traffic jam or losing everything you own — including important documents stored under your mattress — to a fire.

For a while now, this digital TV thing has been nagging my mind. Considering the powers that be insist that I have to migrate or else soon and very soon, December to be precise, I will have to start using my — very analogue — TV’s screen as a wall hanging.

With the cold all over the country, one would be forgiven for imagining the country is covered with one massive wet blanket. Small wonder, then, that a following the JKIA fire tragedy jokes to do with fire were abound. For instance, it was said that some chap trying to keep warm using a jiko at JKIA was to blame for that small fire — a tragedy that saw son of Jomo abandon his schedule to arrive at the scene with what looked like the good old savco jeans.
