House committee to vet nominees for PS, diplomatic posts

The National Assembly Committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations will on Monday begin vetting Caroline Karugu, the nominee for Principal Secretary, State Department of East African Community.

Karugu, who is a Finance and Economics professional, formerly served as the Nyeri Deputy Governor and is a close ally of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and served in the secretariat involved in his African Union Commission chairmanship bid.
