MyCredit spreads wings in education sector with 'Kuza Elimu' initiative

Dubbed 'Kuza Elimu', the project offers financial support to learning institutions to acquire buses, upgrade learning facilities and modernize school infrastructure without the burden of prohibitive upfront costs. David Wangai, Executive Director, said the project is part of the firm's commitment to support the education sector by securing transport solutions that directly enhance the student learning experience. Speaking after handing a school bus to Kingsmead Junior School, Mr Wangai said the Sh10 million project aims at ensuring school-going children travel safely, reliably and with renewed enthusiasm for learning. "For Kingsmead Junior School, the newly acquired zero-mileage bus under a 72-month financing plan represents more than just a vehicle-it is an investment in the school's future," said Mr Wangai. He said the project is not just financing vehicles but ensuring that more students experience safe, structured, and reliable transport to and from school. "With Kuza Elimu, we are enabling schools to expand opportunities for students without financial strain, strengthening the very foundation of their educational experience," he said. Mr Wangai said that under the project, MyCredit Limited has already helped several schools that are now benefiting from a secured transport solution that directly enhances the student learning experience. He said that with over eight years of operations and a presence in 40+ locations, MyCredit continues to provide tailored financial solutions that empower schools to build a stronger, more inclusive education system. "The partnership with Kingsmead Junior School is just one step in MyCredit's broader commitment to ensuring that transportation is never a barrier to learning," he said.
