President William Ruto has appointed former Taita Taveta Member of Parliament (MP) Basil Criticos as the Chairperson of the Kenya Trade Network Agency Board.
In a gazette notice dated May 26, the president appointed Criticos to serve as the Board chairperson for a period of three years, effective Friday, May 26.
“I, William Samoei Ruto, appoint Basil Criticos to be the chairperson of Kenya Trade Network Agency Board for a period of three years,” read the gazette notice.
Criticos is set to replace Mugambi Imanyara whose appointment has been revoked.
The new trade agency board chair also served in former president Daniel Moi's cabinet as the assistant minister for roads and public works.
The Head of State has also appointed Ann Wambui Njuguna as the chairperson of the Uwezo Fund Oversight Board.
Njuguna is also to serve in the position for a period of three years, effective Friday, May 26.
