The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has advertised slots for Kenyans seeking to run in the upcoming by-elections using the party's ticket.

The party says those seeking to run for MP following the ascension of Alice Wahome (Kandara) and Aden Duale (Garissa Township) to the Cabinet, will have to part with Sh125,000 for female aspirants, the youth and people living with disabilities, and Sh250,000 for male aspirants.

Following the appointment of Kipchumba Murkomen to the Cabinet as Transport minister, there's a vacancy in the Office of Elgeyo Marakwet Senator.

The fees charged on parliamentary aspirants is the same as those charged on the people seeking to succeed Murkomen using UDA Party ticket.

The aspirants hoping to get UDA ticket to run for Shella Ward MCA seat in Lamu County will part with Sh50,000 (male aspirants) and Sh25,000 for female aspirants, the youth and those living with disabilities.

"UDA invites all interested and qualified registered party members intending to participate in the forthcoming by-elections to submit their applications for party primaries on or before November 11, 2022. The application should be done via UDA website," the party said.

The interested applicants can pay via M-Pesa or the party's Equity bank account. The details are available on UDA official Twitter page.
