NSL: Battle for FKF Premier League promotion intensifies today

The battle to earn promotion to the 2022-2023 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League from the National Super League (NSL) will continue today (Monday) with four crucial matches lined up in the afternoon.

With Administration Police Service (APS) Bomet already confirmed as the 2021-2022 NSL champions and already promoted to the top tier league with games to spare, focus shifts to which two teams will join them.

NSL champions and runners up are automatically promoted to FKF-PL, while the team which finishes third will play Wazito in the promotion play offs before the new season kicks off.

Fortune Sacco, Muhoroni Youth, Murang'a Seal and Shabana are all in contention for the remaining two slots.

Murang'a Seal are second on 61 points, Fortune Sacco (60 points), Muhoroni Youth (59 points), Shabana (56 points) and Muly Children's Family (54 points).

Fortune Sacco will host Muly Children's Family at Kianyaga Stadium in Kirinyaga County, while Muhoroni Youth welcome champions-elect APS Bomet.

At St Sebastian Park, Murang'a Seal have a tough task against fifth-placed Shabana.

In the other matches for the day, Mara Sugar take on Vihiga United at Awendo Green Stadium while Kisumu All Stars play Naivas at Moi Stadium, Kisumu.
