Basically, short men feel like they have a lot to prove, so they work harder and smarter and, in a sense, they do have something to prove

Anyone who knows me knows that I only date men that I look up to; literally. My shortest boyfriend was 5 feet 8 inches, and he was an exception. He had a lot of other redeeming qualities. I prefer 5’10 and above. It is nothing personal, short men. It is purely instinctual. Liking tall men is hardwired in our DNA.

From an evolutionary standpoint, it makes sense that tall men are more desirable to women.  Taller men are perceived to be stronger and therefore better able to protect their women from any physical threats they may encounter. If it makes you feel any better, evolutionary speaking, I wouldn’t be the first choice of mate for a man.
