A man has been arrested for blocking President Uhuru Kenyatta's motorcade.

Uvinalies Nyabuto tried to stop Uhuru's convoy on State House road, asking him to help him get a job.

Nyabuto obstructed the motorcade whilst holding a placard with the message 'Your Excellency, kindly offer (me) a chance to join the (Kenya) Defence Forces. Am (sic) sorry for (the) disrespect (meted upon) your security.'

The placard was confiscated and Nyabuto was taken to Kilimani police station.

The President's motorcade was headed from the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC).

Uhuru had earlier attended the 9th African Caribbean and Pacific Summit of Heads of State and Government.

Incidents similar to Nyabuto's, where youth walk around with placards begging for jobs, are commonplace.

While some are lucky enough to get the attention of possible employers, others get no help.
