Outrage as 5 year old girl is defiled ,killed.

According to the girl's mother Viola Nanyoki, 24, her daughter left for school at around 7am on Tuesday but never returned, prompting her to raise alarm.

“I prepared her for school as usual and escorted her to the main road. At around 1pm when others returned from school, she was nowhere to be seen," said Ms Nanyoki.

"I thought she could have gone to a neighbour’s home but I went there and didn’t find her."

Grow worried

Nanyoki explained said when her daughter failed to return buy 5pm, she grew worried and called her teacher.

Mathew Sigei, the headteacher of Oloombokishi primary school where the minor went to school, told journalists the girl did not show up in school that day.

“We learnt of the disappearance of the child at around 5pm when the mother came to school saying her child was lost," said Mr Sigei.

"When she refused to turn up in school, we were not concerned because a lot of nursery school children fail to come to school because of the cold weather."

Narok Sub-County Police Commander Benjamin Mwanzia visited the scene where the body was found yesterday at around 9am.

“This morning we got a report that the child who had earlier been reported missing had been found dead," said Mr Mwanzia.

"Our officers rushed to the scene and found the half-naked body with blood oozing from the privates pointing at a possible defilement.”

Mwanzia said investigations into the incident have started and the findings would be made public. He said his office will ensure the culprits face justice.
