Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria and Nakuru East ward rep Humphrey Mwaniki have been stopped from accessing a petrol station owned by former Nakuru Mayor Mohammed Suraw.
The two and 14 motorcycle operators were also directed to keep away from a parcel of land claimed by the MP and Suraw.
The MP, the Nakuru East MCA and the motorcycle operators were arraigned before Naivasha Principal Magistrate Esther Kimulu yesterday. They were jointly charged with trespassing on the land in Pipeline belonging to Suraw on May 18, 2019.
Gikaria faced two other charges of assaulting police officers Daniel Kitavi and Solomon Kiritu who were executing their duties during the incident.
Gikaria and Mwaniki were released on a bond of Sh1 million and a surety of the same amount or a cash bail of Sh500,000.
The boda boda operators were each released on a bond of Sh300,000 or cash bail of Sh100,000.
