KTN News and media veteran Tony Gachoka have launched Point Blank a brand new in-depth one-hour programme consisting of one-on-one interviews. The programme is innovative, thought-provoking and will be intellectually tilted.

The focus of the show will be to dissect issues, asking hard questions and looking beyond the headline news.

It will air weekly on KTN News television, debuting today February 13, 2019. The programme hosted by Tony Gachoka will feature prominent politicians, business leaders, environmentalist and opinion leaders, every Wednesday at 9.30pm.

Gachoka says he chose to rise above other news programmes by using a unique style of fact-frank-point blank-centred approach to the burning issues of the day.

TG, as he is popularly known, promises a very straight forward show that will treat viewers to world-class television from the comfort of their homes and as his mission statement “the cardinal rule of journalism is that opinion is free but facts are sacred” goes.

Previously Tony Gachoka was CEO of Finance Magazine with veteran publisher Njehu Gatabaki in 1995. In 1997 he launched his own publication The Post on Sunday. In 1999, he ran an article about corruption in the Judiciary which landed him in jail and was released on a presidential pardon.

A few years later he became a star panellist alongside the late Mutula Kilonzo and Mukhisa Kituyi on Kiss 100's Crossfire.

Come 2008 and Gachoka started The Hot Seat on TV KBC then run by Wachira Waruru now CEO of Citizen Television.

He has also featured on Tuesday with TG on Nation FM with Angela Angwenyi, Morning Express with Sophia Wanuna on KTN.

TG has also has made numerous guest appearances on Jeff Koinange Live besides a stint as a columnist with The Star newspaper, and guest writer with the Nation and Standard newspapers over the years.

He is a former Director of Protocol office of the Prime Minister for Raila Odinga.

A well-known political commentator  TG joins the Standard Media Group in a brand new role - to headline his own show Wednesday nights - Point Blank with TG.

In a tweet, Gachoka said he is all set for the new programme.
