Man kills father over Sh100 in Elburgon

A 30-year-old man from Lawina in Elburgon has been lynched by an angry mob after he killed his father over Sh100.

Erick Kiwott allegedly arrived home drunk and killed his father identified as Wilson Yegon, 65 on Monday night.

Kibiwott chased after his father to the farm and hit him with an axe on the head and chest killing him on the spot.

He then disappeared and showed up in the morning. Angry residents roughed him up and later burnt him alive.

Confirming the incident Molo OCPD Bernard Kioko said that the father's body had been moved to Elburgon Hospital mortuary.

Earlier in the morning he had demanded Sh100 from his father who obliged.

In the evening Kibiwott demanded another Sh100 which he was to use on illicit brew but his father declined.
