Cesc Fabregas is moving closer to a Chelsea exit and AC Milan appears to be a likely landing spot.
And the Rossoneri’s sporting director Leonardo has already made contact with the Spaniard’s team, report Calciomercato.
Fabregas has slipped down the pecking order at Chelsea under Maurizio Sarri and is now seen as merely a backup to Jorginho.
Earlier this season, the Spaniard said he wishes he had played for Sarri earlier in his career.
"I feel sensations under Sarri that I never thought I would feel again," said Fabregas.
"I wish he came a bit earlier to be honest. It's a little bit late now in my career."
