The Government will ensure all students clearing their secondary school education proceed to universities and technical colleges, Deputy President William Ruto has said.

Speaking Thursday morning at Moi Girls’ High School in Nairobi where he oversaw the administration of the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mid-morning papers, Ruto reiterated government's commitment to ensuring students transition from secondary schools to higher institutions of learning.

“We have laid the requisite infrastructure to ensure all students exiting secondary school proceed with their education. The country requires a healthy mix of young professionals to drive the economy,” said Ruto.

He urged the candidates to tackle the exams with courage, assuring them that none will be denied a chance to excel in their careers of choice.

“We know this is the beginning of your dreams. We have laid the foundation for you to pursue your dreams, whether as academicians, sports, music and many others,” Ruto said.

Later, the DP attended the Hindu New Year celebrations at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir temple in Nairobi.
