Tax regulator consolidates scanners to curb infiltration of contraband

Kenya Revenue Authority has consolidated 12 scanners in major depots to retrict the penetration of illegal imports.

KRA deputy commissioner in southern region, Nicholas Kinoti said that the scanners with Optical Character Reading technology will be monitored from Mombasa and Nairobi stations to look through cargo entering the ports and seize any illegal consignment.
