Former President Daniel arap Moi on Saturday met Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho at his Kabarak home.
During the visit, Joho was welcomed by Baringo Senator Hon. Gideon Moi, Tiaty MP William Kamket, Kanu Secretary General Nick Salat and Moiben MP Silas Tiren.
Joho was accompanied by a host of legislators from the Coast; MPs Mishi Mboko, Zulekha Hassan, Ken Chonga, Abdikarim Osman, Teddy Mwambire, Florence Mutua, Senior Mombasa County Officers and County Assembly Speaker Arub Khatri.
According to a statement from the office of the former president, the leaders wished Moi good health.
It added that Joho, Moi and the Baringo Senator held an hour long closed door meeting and thereafter had lunch.
Governor Joho who is the ODM deputy leader is in the Rift Valley for a series of events over the weekend.
He is expected to attend a number of fundraising activities in the region.
Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda is also expected to host him as he presides over a fundraising for the construction of Alsalam Mosque in Maralal.
