East Africa Secondary School games: Kenyans out to reclaim tennis title

Kenya's team to this year's East Africa Secondary School games will be on a mission to reclaim the girl’s tennis title.

They will be seeking to recapture the singles title the country lost last year to Chantal Mutuyimana of Rwanda. Kenya had dominated tennis since it's inclusion in the games in 2014.

Judith Nkatha a 2015 SOYA award winner and former  Shadrack Kimalel School student won the  2014, 2015 and 2016 regional titles.

However, despite winning the overall title last year, Faith Nyabera of Olympic Mixed lost to Mutuyimana in the girl’s final allowing the Rwandan to win her country their first regional schools title. [By Elizabeth Mburugu]
