Hospital to pay Sh6 million for causing boy to lose his limb

Philomena Ndunge and her son Maweu Mutuku at their home after Makindu law court ruled that the family be paid Sh6 million by Makindu sub county hospital over amputation of the son's (Maweu Mutuku) right leg.

A hospital has been ordered to pay Sh6 million compensation for child whose leg was amputated after a light bulb burnt the limb.

Makindu Resident Magistrate Gerald Mutiso ruled that the child’s current condition was as a result of the hospital’s lack of prudent and professional attendance.
