Students protest land grabbing in Garissa High School

Garissa High School

Garissa High School students have been on the streets for the last two days, protesting an alleged grabbing of the school land by a private developer.

The students, who were in full school uniforms, destroyed stalls erected on the property. Regional Education Director Aden Sheikh and Garissa County Commissioner Joshua Chepchieng assured the students the matter was being addressed.

"We have heard you and we will do something. We will ensure no school property will be taken away by anyone," said Sheikh.
