Machakos residents will on February 9 know whether they will go to a by-election.

Justice Aggrey Muchelule, who was hearing a petition filed by former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti (pictured) challenging Governor Alfred Mutua’s victory in last year’s General Election, revealed yesterday after hearing the final submissions by all the lawyers.

In Monday’s session, which was attended by NASA co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi, Ms Ndeti’s lawyers submitted that the election was marred by irregularities and illegalities.
