Officer raises alarm over defilement, incest cases in Gatundu

The Gatundu North children's officer has expressed concern at the rising cases of defilement, incest, and sodomy.

According to the officer, James Irungu, cases of defilement of minors and incest have reached alarming levels.

“It is worrying that children are being abused while culprits go unpunished.

Last December alone, four cases were reported. From March last year to December, we received 15 defilement-related cases,” said Mr Irungu, yesterday.
