Is there risk of NASA breaking up over Assembly positions?

Truth be told, the NASA coalition  risks disintegrating. I am saying this because the coalition itself was established on a shaky foundation with the sole aim of unseating President Uhuru Kenyatta, and not a well-thought-out ideology and strategy.

To some of us, internal wrangles being witnessed now between MPs from the different coalition parties over the line-up of the coalition leadership in Parliament is not strange, as it was something that was expected. For ODM, a key affiliate of NASA to side-line its coastal MPs as it formulated its list of House leadership is unfathomable, considering the voting pattern of the region in the last general elections.

In the past ten years, the coastal region has given Raila unwavering support despite President Kenyatta camping in the area and dishing out goodies.  But what have they received in return? Nothing other than frustration, confusion and fatigue! If there was anyone intending to infiltrate and break NASA, it would be very easy to do that now since there is a lot of anger and grievances among Coast leaders and some from Western and Ukambani.

Some top leaders in the coalition seem to read from different pages concerning issues like secession. This complex idea is bound to break the coalition, as it will be hard to agree on how it will be done. The fact that the coalition leaders seem to be lame ducks and exhibit poor leadership skills as other people within the partner parties seem to call the shots spells doom for NASA.
