National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders visited Embakasi East MP Babu Owino on Monday after his arrest over derogatory remarks against the President.

Opposition leaders led by Suna East MP Junet Mohammed and Siaya Senator James Orengo visited him at the Pangani Police Station.

The controversial legislator also had a meeting with former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama following his apprehension.

“The power of the people is stronger than the people in power,” Owino indicated his Facebook page.

Appearing at the Milimani Law Courts on Tuesday, Owino denied the charges.

He will have to spend a second night at the Kileleshwa Police Station as he waits for a ruling on his bail application set for tomorrow. (Wednesday).
