Kilifi Jubilee agents demand payment for August elections

More than 900 Jubilee Party agents have threatened to boycott the repeat presidential election unless they are paid.

They claimed they had not been paid their dues for services provided during the August 8 polls.

The agents called on the party leadership to address the issue or they decamp to the National Super Alliance (NASA).

“Until today we have not received a single coin that we were promised,” said Najma Mangi who was the chief agent.

According to her, the arrears for her team is Sh4.5 million where each of the 900 agents was to get Sh4,000.

“I have been receiving threatening text messages from the agents who now see me as their enemy because they feel I am the one withholding their money,” she added.
