Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu says she will ring-fence her county for NASA during the re-run presidential campaigns following the Supreme Court nullification of the August 8 presidential election.

Speaking after flagging off mobile clinics outreach and nurses programme at the Kitui's County Referral Hospital on Monday , the Governor said it  was unacceptable for President Uhuru Kenyatta to hurl insults at the Judiciary, in particular the Supreme Court Chief Justice David Maraga.

"I have an elaborate plan to ring-fence the county for NASA. This will be no go zone for Jubilee. I will ensure that the more than 400,000 votes in this county are cast in favour of Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka. No ifs nor buts in this battle," Ngilu said.

She said last Friday's Supreme Court's ruling was a golden chance to send home the “corrupt and insensitive Jubilee administration” and rallied all Kitui leaders to close their ranks in pursuit of “the bigger agenda to liberate the country.”
Ngilu further told Uhuru and Ruto to swallow their pride and prepare for defeat in the re-peat election.
She revisited the 2007 General election fiasco, repeating that Raila's victory was stolen.
"Kenyans should not give up. Let us teach the President and his deputy a lesson that we matter in all aspects. We are not lesser citizens," Ngilu, a former Uhuru Kenyatta Lands Cabinet secretary said.
Ngilu said she had played a pivotal role in installing President Kenyatta and his deputy in 2013 and vowed to use the same force to kick them out in the repeat polls.
She said Uhuru was on the spot after his secret weapon backfired on Friday after the Supreme Court overturned his election.
The Governor said she had warned the President and his deputy of political kizaazaa (confusion) in 2017 if Jubilee did not reform.
"Jubilee got elected on the platform to reform this country and fight poverty and change the livelihoods of its people without marginalisation of any kind. They must prepare to pack and go any time the re-peat election is called," Ngilu said.

Earlier on, Kitui leaders had told President Uhuru Kenyatta to stop intimidating and disrespecting the judiciary.

Led by Governor Charity Ngilu, the leaders on Sunday unanimously resolved to campaign vigorously for the National Super Alliance's Presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka in the re-election ordered by the Supreme Court.
The leaders said after the annulment of the presidential results by the Supreme Court, the President and his deputy William Ruto had resorted to abuse, ridicule and intimidation of  the judges and in particular Chief Justice David Maraga.
Speaking at a leaders' forum that was convened to express their position after the Supreme Court ruling, Ngilu said for a person who is currently president and is seeking to be re-elected, Mr Uhuru Kenyatta’s behaviour was unacceptable.
Flanked by MPs Makali (Kitui Central),  Gedion Mulyungi (Mwingi Central), Charles Nguna (Mwingi West), Boniface Mwalika (Kitui Rural), incumbent County Assembly Speaker George Ndotto, a host of MCAs-elect and opinion leaders, Ngilu said it was unacceptable for a president not respect the rule of law.
She said she will work with the all elected leaders in the county to wipe out the votes Uhuru and Ruto got in Ukambani.
The leaders resolved that during the re-election, Ngilu will be the NASA's chief agent at the county tallying centre. MPs and MCAs will man the constituency and ward tallying centres respectively.
Mulyungi said it was clear now that Jubilee stole the elections in 2013. The MP said as much as the president was entitled to disagree with the judgment of the court, it was too low on him to call the judges "Wakora".
Mulyungi, Mulu, Nguna, Mwalika and Ndotto said they will mobilise resources to ensure NASA won in the re-run.
On Friday the Supreme Court nullified the re-election of Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto after finding that the election was not conducted in accordance with the constitution. The highest court in the land ordered a fresh presidential election within 60 days.
