Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso has rejected the official seat that was popular with her predecessor. On Tuesday, Laboso surprised her staff when she declined the special seat, and opted for an ordinary chair.

She was at Bomet Green Stadium to flag off a clean up exercise. She also directed that her staff and residents address her as 'Madam Governor' instead of 'Your excellency.'

"I will not want to see a special seat being carried around for me, I do not have time for luxury, my staff's energy should be channelled to service delivery not trying to please me," she said.
