The player has spent most of the week in France, but is now expected to travel to Barcelona to complete a move.

When all is said and done, the deal is expected to reach around the €120m mark.

Barca are struggling to get a deal for Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho over the line but Dembele’s move looks done and dusted.

The La Liga club have already splashed £40m of the £198m earned from the sale of star man Neymar to PSG earlier this summer on former Tottenham flop Paulinho.

Dembele, 20, has been suspended indefinitely by Dortmund.

The striker went AWOL on the eve of the Bundesliga start as he tried to force through a move to the Nou Camp.

The club said: “Borussia Dortmund has decided to keep the suspension of the player Ousmane Dembele from the team training up until further notice.
