KEY PEOPLE: Man who walked into a bar with Chris Msando along Koinange Street at large

According to police, four persons of interest in connection with the death of IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando and Maryanne Ngumbu are still at large, as another six recorded statements.

An autopsy done at City Mortuary revealed that Ms Ngumbu died from ligature strangulation (she was strangled using a rope) and had injuries on her hands.

According to the autopsy, Mr. Msando also died from strangulation and had a cut on his arm, suggesting signs of torture before he died. He also had a cut on his head, which might have come as a result of being hit hard by an object.

The two bodies were found dumped in Muguga Forest in Kikuyu before they were transferred to city mortuary.

Police say among the four persons of interest, they are seeking a man who allegedly walked into a bar with Msando along Koinange Street, moments before his death.

CCTV footages have been studied and restaurants investigated by police in efforts of trying to put a finger on who directly involved in the murders.

IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba stated that the loss of Msando shocked the whole IEBC team and that the gap would not be easy to fill in the coming months.
