Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has hit out at three county executives  who have quit to join his political rival's camp.

Mr Ojaamong claimed the executives were a stumbling block to the delivery of key services to the residents.

Deputy Governor Kizito Wangalwa, who was in charge of trade docket, Hillary Makhulu of Education, and Beneditte Muyomi of Lands have joined Ojaamong's rival Paul Otuoma.

The Standard was unable to ascertain if Mr Makhulu had tendered his resignation before joining Dr Otuoma's camp but Mr Wangalwa and Ms Muyomi have resigned.

Wangalwa said he opted not to support Ojaamong since he was not consulted before the governor appointed his running mate while Muyomi cited personal reasons for bowing out.

Ojaamong, while campaigning in Teso South constituency, lashed out at the three, saying they were detrimental to his administration and had been sabotaging him.

He said the resignation of the executive members has made his work of appointing new ones easier should he be re-elected.

Muyomi, Wangalwa and Makhulu have been present in Dr Otuoma's campaigns.
