Local Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidates have pledged to deliver 70 per cent votes for National Super Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka.

Led by Samburu East constituency candidate Lenas Leshore, the leaders said NASA has over the last four years gained support from the local communities.

He claimed that the Jubilee administration had failed to address the plight of residents, including incessant conflicts over grazing land. Speaking in Maralal on Friday, Leshore said Jubilee leaders had neglected them since 2013.

"The Laikipia grazing land is a pertinent issue this government has failed to address," he said.

Leshore said if elected, NASA government will address insecurity in the area. In 2013, Raila garnered 58 per cent of the Samburu vote.
