Reggan Otieno scored a hat trick as favourites Tononoka Secondary defeated Wiyoni 8-0 on Day One of the Coast Secondary Schools Term Two B Games at Kilifi Township School yesterday.

It was a timely win for the former champions, who are seeking to recapture the title on the penultimate day of the championships.

Lucky Mrabu scored a brace while Ali Mzee, Omar Kaju and Salim Mambo scored once each for Tononoka’s big win. Tononoka need to beat Galana today to qualify for the semi-finals.

In girls’ volleyball, defending champions St John’s Kaloleni defeated St Peter’s 3-0, while Kwale Girls also won 3-0 against Lamu Girls.

Kinarani of Tana River floored Mwangea of Taita Taveta 3-1. In boys’ volleyball, title holders Waa Boys School dismissed Ngami of Tana River 3-0 while St Peter’s lost 3-0 to Kilifi’s Dzitsoni.
