Wife of former Kiru Boys High School principal has disowned witnesses produced by the prosecution who have linked her to her husband's death.

Solomon Mwangi's wife, Jane Muthoni, termed the death of her husband as "a terrible blow to me and our children."

Ms Muthoni, who police regard as the prime suspect in the murder of Mr Mwangi, informed a High Court judge that she was not in any way involved in a scheme to kill her husband, as alleged by the prosecution.

In an affidavit to support her bail review application, Muthoni said the death of the teacher was a terrible blow to the family, because he was the family's breadwinner.

"I wish to tell this honourable court that the evidence herein are well choreographed pieces of allegations that have been pieced together to make a case of murder against me to cover for the true killers of my husband," read part of her filed affidavit.

She claimed the motive of her husband's killing was not the allegations before court but to get his job, as well as hers by having her locked up.

She disowned some of the witnesses produced by the prosecution, saying she had no connection with the people alleged to have killed Mwangi.

In particular, she denied knowing one Joseph Kariuki alias Karis and Isaac Ng'ang'a alias Gikuyu, as alleged by the prosecution.
