TALK OF THE DAY: APC's supplier admitted vehicles were not safe

Kenya has many experts. And those experts are pseudo-experts. Most of those pseudo-experts are in Government.

They are big-headed and do not listen to anybody. Not even positive criticism. Massive implementation of development programmes and projects (unless we are in an emergency state) should be carried out after a properly implemented testing phase. This approach is what Karl Popper (taught in all political science classes worldwide) referred to as “piecemeal social engineering”. This is the approach that is undertaken by many civilised states, except Kenya.

This is why projects and programmes are undertaken in pilot phase or phase one; then phase two, phase three and so on. Gukhu Savai

I read malice. Why is it that when we are nearing or in an election year, insecurity becomes a menace? Don’t blame the Chinese, blame the architects behind this cheap idea of using armoured vehicles within our borders. Dan Rich

Those people who acquire sub-standard war equipment know very well they will never board them and they don’t care about their juniors as long as they steal enough during procurement. They know very well that whatever the case, they will lie to the President and won’t be held responsible for any deaths as a result impunity in Kenya. Dave Truant

We should stop speculating and get the final report from independent and trusted bodies. In the event that we got a raw deal, then someone should pay for it. It is about time Kenyans got value for their money. We must not stop questioning the Government whenever we suspect something is not going right. Mkenya Halisi
